Standard auctions are open. Everyone sees the current bid and raises until they hit their limit. That favors whoever has the deepest pockets or the best poker face.

Vikto uses sealed-bid auctions. You see the legend up for grabs. You see your remaining budget. You don’t see what your opponent is bidding. You lock in your offer, they lock in theirs, both bids reveal simultaneously. The higher bid wins the legend.

What happens if both bids are equal?

The card goes to a server coin flip. Neither player is rewarded for having spent more or less — a level bid is genuinely level, and the game resolves it without favouring anyone. The lower-budget rule exists in Vikto, but it belongs to the duels at the end of the match, not to the auction.

Which legends can you bid on?

Each Vikto club holds 36 legends — 12 attackers, 12 midfielders, 12 defenders — and a match is played on one position, so the six cards you bid on all share it. How are duels resolved?

Once both players have drafted three legends — and as soon as one of them holds three cards, the rest are handed to the opponent automatically — each names a captain and three duels resolve the match. Both squads are ranked by score and paired off: your best card against their best, second against second, third against third.

Each duel uses the legend’s base score, modified by the boosts that land at resolution. A legend whose decade matches the match era scores 10% more, 15% if they’re an Icon; a legend who fits the venue gets the same, and your captain adds 10%. None of it is random, so a clever bidder who buys the legends the conditions favour beats someone who overspent on the biggest names.

Best of three duels wins the match. The total across your three cards decides nothing — and if the series is 1–1 with the last duel level, the player with the smaller remaining budget takes it.
